DONATE

With Covid-19 canceling the high school age cross country season, Sun City Harriers created a new way for Cross Country athletes to compete.

Runners have been training hard for the past TEN MONTHS for this opportunity to race. On December 5th, 2020 we will travel to AAU Cross Country Nationals in Tallahassee, FL where we will compete in the 5K against Athletes from all over the country.

Funds raised will pay for 14 flights on Delta from Seattle to Tallahassee, Florida, 12-room nights at the Home2 Suites, van rental, and registration into the event. All of the above has been paid for in full as of Oct 19, 2020. The total cost of the trip is in excess of our fundraising goal, totaling in excess of $12,000.

COVID PRECAUTIONS

In order to run a safe event at this time, we will require the following:

  • Anyone not running is required to wear a mask

  • Keep your distance.

  • No groups larger than 5-6...keep your distance.

  • All races will have a staggered start with no more than 10 per wave.

  • The course will be set using paint and cones in order to keep the width of the course plenty wide.

  • No finish chute.

  • When you are done, leave the area.

All other customary health and wellness procedures should be followed such as washing your hands, do not come to the event if you or someone you have been in contact with has been sick or diagnosed with COVID-19.
