Created by Hogback Development Company to provide a local opportunity for all individuals to live, train, and run.
It is more than a race name, it is a goal to create a healthy community for us all. We believe in a healthy Yakima and our mission with this event is to provide an exceptional experience and to strive for health and wellness regardless of age or ability.
YWCA Yakima is the largest provider of domestic violence services in Yakima County, and provides the only shelter in the city of Yakima, as well as affordable housing specific to families who are homeless as the result of domestic violence. Hogback donated the former St. Elizabeth's nursing school building in support of their efforts.
MILES AGAINST VIOLENCE
What can we do? We ask ourselves this every day as we strive to make Yakima safer and stronger. Hogback Development partners with Yakima Mile's partnership to support the YWCA Yakima, allowing us to provide support and bring awareness to the invaluable services available to survivors of domestic violence through the YWCA.
MCCLURE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Our long term partnership with McClure Elementary School started by bringing 21 children to officially break ground on the Home2 Suites by Hilton - Yakima Airport.
ROSEALAMA
PARK
Through a unique partnership between Hogback Development Company, Stephens & Sons Construction, and Russell Landscaping, Rosealama Park, in the heart of Yakima, went from a degraded eyesore to a beloved gem in the heart of the city.
We love our essential workers.
SOZO SPORTS
Leadership, Responsibility and Dedication are all skills Hogback Development Company is committed to fostering alongside
SOZO Sports.
Our contribution to their capital campaign for an arena is helping provide much-needed space for our area youth basketball, volleyball, and indoor turf sports teams.
WE ARE IKE
We Are Ike is a campaign to elevate school spirit, and include all members of the student body in school related in-class and extracurricular experiences. Along the way, the school newspaper has drawn significantly more readers, the yearbook swelled in size, dances have been huge, but what is most important, is that We Are Ike has restored what it means to be a part of a student body - we feel this helps prepare students for what it means to be a positive influence on our communities future - an initiative Hogback is full behind.
IDENTITY
Hogback Development Company has partnered with IDentity by offering an In-Kind donation of "retail space”. IDentity provides foster children an invitation-only, personalized, no-cost shopping experience. Together we seek to address the critical need in our community to protect, value, and empower children in foster care.

EN ACCION
Yakima Music en Acción (YAMA) is igniting passion, building critical skills and changing the lives of at-promise children from low income, high-risk neighborhoods through intensive music education.
Montessori School of Yakima
Montessori School of Yakima provides a 13 year program for children ages 12 months through 14 years old. Toddler, Preschool & Kindergarten through 8th grade is offered. Hogback Development is proud to partner with Montessori School of Yakima to help with giving the youth of Yakima a quality education.
Eisenhower
Track and Field Booster Program
Hogback Development is proud to work with the Eisenhower Track and Field Booster to support
Eisenhower High School in providing valuable opportunities to develop physical fitness, leadership skills, and a strong sense of community in their students.
